1)Defining Terms
  • Scientific Revolution-The Renaissance had it's ideas evolve.
  • Nicholas Copernicus-An astonomer who figured the sun is the center of the universe.
  • Heliocentric Theory-The idea that the sun is the center of the universe.
  • Johannes Kepler-Brahe's assistant who found out that the planets move in an ovular pattern.
  • Galileo Galilei-A scientist who studied motin and discovered the law of the Pendulum.
  • Scientific Method-Logical procedure for testing and gathering information.
  • Francis Bacon-An english politician and writer who critizied medieval scholars.
  • Rene Descartes-A scientist who made analytical geometry,which linked algebra and geometry.
  • Isaac Newton-A scientist who figured that all physical objects are affected equally by the same force. 
2)Events that lead to the scientific revolution
  • Lands that were inhabited were discovered and opened possibilities that there were so many truths to be discovered.
  • The geocentic theory troubled Copernicus, making him study the stars more.
  • Galileo studied motion.
  • Newton discovered that all physical objects were affected by the same force.
